Studying for AWS certifications is straightforward — work through the exam guide, watch some videos, read a book, take practice tests. But passing an exam and truly understanding the technology are two very different things. When I began preparing, I kept running into the same frustration: study materials told me what AWS services do, but rarely explained why they were designed that way, or when to choose one over another. That gap sent me digging directly into the source — AWS documentation, service FAQs, and the architectural whitepapers that AWS engineers use to explain their own design decisions. The problem was that tracking down the right documents often took longer than the actual studying. I’d spend more time hunting for a whitepaper than reading it. This site is the organized result of that digging — so you don’t have to repeat it.
